Maddy + Zach // Downtown Roanoke Engagement Session

It's a little crazy, but in my four years of being a wedding photographer, I've never had a single shoot in my hometown of Roanoke. So I was definitely excited when Maddy + Zach suggested we adventure around downtown for their engagement session. Finding pretty nooks and crannies to photograph happy people amidst all your old memories is real fun.

We covered so much ground! From cool graffiti near the Taubman Art Museum, to the city market, to a random hole in a wall (literally), we went everywhere before heading up to Roanoke Mountain for sunset as we parted ways. These two are so naturally adorable and a ton of fun to be around. I was super bummed to be unavailable for their wedding, but glad I got to spend this little bit of time adventuring around Roanoke with them.
